Israel Krush of Hyro talked about the 4 C’s – Compliance, Control, Clarity and Care and said that for a lot of health tech leaders, the north star is not money any more, it’s the possibility of change for the greater good. Health is the most queried term ever on Chat GPT. Howard Morgan talked about his new book “Pick Great Partners” and said that the key is to meet and interact with as many people as you can and then great partners will pick you. Dave A. Chokshi, MD said that the aim for health tech should be delivery not discovery. Stephen Klasko gave a very creative, colorful presentation about Swifties and the Singularity and said that true change is painful and jolting, slow incremental solutions just won’t cut it any more. Amy Gleason’s session was incredible – her real life examples of how her healthcare journey with her daughter Morgan have inspired her to bring about change for all Americans with DOGE and CMS were truly inspiring. Chris Klomp’s session was an in depth look at how he responded to a call to service and how he makes sure he stays in touch with the patients to make sure that Medicare can be made better every day for every patient. Girish Nadkarni said that AI cannot be a band aid for broken workflows and that we should use AI to reinvent the workflows to reimagine roles to actually transform the processes and the organization. He gave the example of two wins at Mt Sinai Hospital Systems – the Sepsis Sniffer and the Pharmacy dose checks where AI has transformed the processes. Ashley Beecy MD, FACC said that Ambient has been a huge wellbeing tool at Sutter Health and that its not just about the time saved, but that the experience of care has become better with Ambient. Chethan Sarabu, MD said that AI should enhance and not supplant the doctor-patient relationship. Thank you Tanzeem Choudhury for a great event!
